Introduction about Phong Nha Cave

Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng is noted for its cave and grotto systems as it is composed of 300 caves and grottos with a total length of about 70 km, of which only 20 have been surveyed by Vietnamese and British scientists; 17 of these are in located in the Phong Nha area and three in the Kẻ Bàng area. The park derives it name from Phong Nha Cave, containing many fascinating rock formations, and Kẻ Bàng forest.The plateau on which the park is situated is probably one of the finest and most distinctive examples of a complex karstlandform in Southeast Asia. This national park was listed in UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites in 2003 for its geological values as defined in its criteria viii.

Itinerary:

Car or bus and a tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and start to Phong Nha Cave in 4 hours. On the way, tourists will visit the famous Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River where was the boder between the South and the North of Vietnam during the  war ( 1954 to 1973). Coming to a local  restaurant to have lunch and relax before having aboat trip (40 minutes) on Son River to Phong Nha most impressive Caves as Bi Ki, Tien Co, Cung Dinh. After visiting Phong Nha cave, we go back Hue on Ho Chi Minh Legendary Road, tour ends about 7pm at your hotel.
